Can this powerbank be taken on the plane?
The question cannot be answered in a general way. The rules regarding what is allowed and what is not can vary depending on the airline.
Usually the limit of allowed batteries is max 100Wh / 27'000mAh per battery/device.
All right. Thanks for the information. My research also revealed:
A powerbank may only be carried in hand luggage when flying and powerbanks are only allowed on the plane with a maximum capacity of 100 Wh or 27 000 mAh.
From my experience, I recommend carrying such things in checked luggage. Not in hand luggage.
That depends on the rules of the airline you are flying with. There are airlines that do not allow powerbanks with more than 70Wh, but for most of them, the value given by the person who wrote the previous paragraph, namely 100Wh, applies. This is also the value specified by IATA. Since LiIon batteries are 3.7V, your battery must not exceed 27000mAh. This means you can take this powerbank with you on airlines that have set the upper limit at 100Wh or have adopted the IATA specification. However, it is important that the powerbank somehow visually shows that it is ready for use when a check takes place. In the case of completely empty powerbanks (and also notebooks), a completely discharged battery can look suspicious and in the worst case lead to you not being allowed to take your device on board!
