Depending on the size of the engine, 800 - 1000 watts of power or more are needed to start a vehicle. This charger only provides (12V x 5A) = 60 watts. Therefore, it will unfortunately not work for this project. The "Ctek MXS 5.0" is very well suited for continuous charging over the winter for seasonally used vehicles or for slow charging of a car battery or for desulphating batteries that are already a little out of date, and it also works with AGM batteries.
