Can this charger really also be used for discharging (description above: charging current 5 A, discharging current 5 A)? I have not seen the word "discharging" in the manual, neither in the text nor on the programme flowchart.

If the battery is fully charged and you want to store the battery for a longer period of time, then there is the "Store" function. In this case, the charger should be able to lower the battery to the "storage level". Discharging the battery completely does not seem to work and does not really make sense.

I haven't tried it myself yet, but the operating instructions describe that a monitoring programme called STORAGE can be used for longer storage of batteries. This charges and contains the batteries so that they stay in better condition. Here I have a link to the PDF instructions in German from Robitronic.

Hello,
I have just connected my charger to have a look.
There are only the options:
CHARGE, BALANCE, STORAGE.
I have not found discharge. I think the storage function puts the battery into storage voltage? Unfortunately, I don't know how far it is discharged for this. LG

If the discharging function is not described in the manual, I don't consider it to be a function. For me, a decisive purchase criterion is whether a charger has a discharge function. If this is not clearly described, I certainly won't buy such a device.
