i installed this exact plate in my macpro 5.1 in one of the internal slots and it runs tiptop. the holes for the screws are placed slightly different than in the internal alu-brackets of the mac pro (i.e. 2 screws fit, 2 don't). i solved this with gaffer tape, holds wonderfully. my macpro has the latest BIOS and it runs 13.6 . (when i first installed the HD, it was still running 11.6 and an older BIOS and it was running as well).
