Can the lamp be switched on and off as normal with a light switch and if so, will the last setting be retained? Many thanks in advance for your help.
Yes. I recommend you use the original philips switches.
Yes, that is possible. You can programme the switch-on behaviour of the lights accordingly with the Hue app (Bluetooth is sufficient for this).
