The "White Ambiance Enrave (4500 lm)" lamp from Philips Hue cannot be operated directly via a normal wall switch, as it offers special smart functions that are controlled via the Philips Hue app or a Hue Bridge. To switch the lamp on and off and dim its brightness, you need to use the Philips Hue app or a compatible dimmer switch.
However, if you want control via a classic switch, the Philips Hue wall switch module could be a solution. This module recognises the switching action of the wall switch and switches the Hue lamp on and off accordingly, but it does not switch the 230-volt power supply itself.
