Eve Energy - CH
Can the Eve Energy measure the current in both directions, i.e. draw and feed? Many such intermediate plugs cannot do this, such as the Hombli. I would like to use it to measure the feed-in from the balcony power station and use it to control consumers.

Eve Energy measures power consumption, but is not designed to measure power in both directions, i.e. both consumption and supply. It shows the current consumption and keeps a log of the energy consumption of the connected device, which is suitable for typical household consumption measurements.
When measuring the feed-in from a balcony power station, it is important to know that many smart adapter plugs, including Eve Energy, do not support bidirectional measurement. This means that they cannot distinguish whether electricity is being drawn or fed in. The Eve Energy is plugged between the balcony power station and the socket and measures the current flow in one direction, which can be used to control consumers, but not for accurate feed-in measurement.
To summarise: The Eve Energy can measure power consumption, but cannot measure the feed-in from the balcony power station in both directions. It is therefore not suitable for control based on feed-in.
