Question about Philips Hue White
Can the bulb be controlled directly with the smartphone or does it require an additional accessory?

This product is an extension bulb. You can use it just like a "normal" light bulb, but to be able to use your smartphone, you need the bridge (Philips Hue Bridge). This is where you can control the bulbs and also manage them with your smartphone. More details are available on the manufacturer's website (Philips Hue).
