Question about AirPods - 45310

Contrary to digitec's obviously incorrect answer, the AirPods can be used everywhere as Bluetooth headphones. Only the simplified pairing and the recognition of which headphone is in the ear only work with Apple devices.

The Apple AirPods can be used with Android, but there is no way to know the exact battery level except for the LED in the case which is either green or red and the only working command is to double tap the headphones as play/pause.

The charging status can be displayed via Airbtts (app), which costs approx. 2 CHF.

But they certainly work on Samsung devices. The only disadvantage, if you can call it that, is the volume control. You can hear louder on Apple devices than on a Samsung device.
