Question about AMD Ryzen 5 3600X

After a BIOS update, the processors run on all B450 and X470 boards. You have to be careful with the B350 and X370 because they only run on certain boards.

Many boards are compatible, almost all of them, but of course you can't put in a 16 core if the VRMs can't take it. Here is a super list of which chip fits which MOBO, with or without OC. Even in a b350 you can manage up to 12 cores. The 8 core Ryzen 3000 goes practically everywhere.

According to MSI, you can also run the Rayzen CPU's on the 350-series boards, it also needs a BIOS update like the 450-series boards.
