Can someone explain to me what the difference is between this stick and the external SSD of the same brand (ESD310). The external SSD seems to be the same size, with the same connectors, but cheaper and faster.

I suspect that the ESD310 is a newer product, as it is also "officially" classified as a portable SSD and therefore probably has a more complex controller than this USB flash drive. Both are of course based on flash memory, and apart from the speed and the USB version, I couldn't recognise any other significant differences. The market price / our purchase price is independent of these features, so it may well be that a more powerful item is cheaper at times. I would therefore also tend to opt for the ESD310 👍
