Question about Microsoft Modern
can several different devices be connected here? we have two surfaces in use in the flat and both can run, but only one needs the tower?

No. The keyboard can only be connected to one device via Bluetooth.
I just tested it with my Surface Go and my desktop. The keyboard automatically connects to the last device connected via USB cable.
Personally, I am quite dissatisfied with the product.

The question is completely unclear. What do you want to do with it? Is it a Surface Laptop, Surface Pro, Surface Book or Surface Go?
