Can I use the PLAYBASE with my somewhat older Sony KDL-46HX82x television without restrictions and also place the television on it (21.1kg)?

Yes, this is possible. Your TV needs a digital optical output (TOSLINK). The max. permissible weight for the Playbase is 35kg.
