Can I use the pair of passive speakers connected via the Yamaha WXA-50 as surround speakers with a MusicCast-enabled Yamaha AV receiver?

As far as I can tell, it doesn't work. I have the WXA-50 and additional streaming speakers. If I want to set up a surround system via the Musiccast app, the WXA-50 is not available to me.
