can I use it to record the Teenage Engineering PO family via 3.5mm connector? or is there a better alternative, portable and cheap?

You want to record directly onto a recorder? That is possible in itself. The audio signals must then simply be transferred.
But maybe you should use this one instead:
Zoom H1n Black (Handheld)
It has better reviews.
