Can I use it to connect my MacBook Pro 2015 (Thunderbolt 2) to a docking station (USB-C, Thunderbolt 4)? The display and mouse/keyboard are connected to the docking station.

I would be careful about that. The adapter does not transmit video signals

No, it works in the opposite direction. As far as I know, the reverse way you are looking for is not possible.
But to be on the safe side, check the Apple homepage to see what accessories they offer.
