Can I simply connect my Macbook with a USB C to USB C cable? Where does the Macbook get its power from? via the monitor? My Mac book 12' only has a USB C port, nothing else, I have an adapter with USB HDMI etc. but the less fiddling the better. Preferably an Airplay-compatible monitor.

Jo, just connect it with the usb-C cable. The MacBook is then charged at the same time :) Power then comes via the monitor
