You can connect the phones with the DECT mode directly to the Swisscom router, but then you lose the possibilities of the device, such as answering machine. However, if the router has its own answering machine, then it should work.

I bought the device as a second device to my Gigaset base. Everything works fine, but you have to do some research on the internet on how to upgrade the devices and bring them both up to the same level.
