Can I install this card in the Mac Pro (Mid 2010) to update to Mojave? The previous ATI Radeon HD 5770 was perfectly adequate, but is unfortunately incompatible for Mojave.

No, you can't. The map here is for PCs.

The card was installed in a Mac Pro (2010) and operated under High Sierra. This works, but the boot screen remains black because the BIOS does not recognise the card. The OS recognises it and then shows the login screen after some time. That's why we then inserted a used, more compatible card.
