Question about Seagate BarraCuda
Can I install the hard drive in the quick-release drawer of my 2017 Acer Predator G6-710 (Intel Core i7-7700K, 64 GBRAM, GTX 1080, Win10-64 bit ) ? I can't find any indication anywhere what the standard of the quick change drawer connector is ? ... "SATA something" presumably? Acer has not answered me (so far), I can't find a manual or any other information about the connection of the quick-release drawer anywhere. Many thanks in advance ! The type of connector installed is called SATA.
The 8TB drive should work because it is probably already SATA 3 or 6G. The SATA version only tells you how fast the data can be transported.
The size of the HDD depends on the BIOS and the operating system. However, both can support such large hard disks.
Will the size of the hard disk fit? I think so. If you mean the quick-change frames in the case, which I saw online, that fits because in 2017 3.5 inch was still common in the case.
