Question about Power Dynamics PD504H

Can I connect the unit to my Zoom LiveTrak L-8 mixing console via the Mix Out using a 6.3 mm jack socket, so that I don't need 4 XLR cables and a 6.3 cable is sufficient as a connection? Or what connections is this mix out suitable for? I have not found any information about this Mix Out socket in the manual. The mics are to be used in a discussion event and do not need to be recorded on different channels. Many thanks for an answer

Helpful answer

Good morning. We do it exactly the same way. We go via 6.3mm from the Power Dynamics receiver to our mixing console and then regulate the volume in the whole and nit individually per channel. It's just stupid when someone shouts really loud and another person is almost whispering, then you're constantly adjusting the volume, so it would be easier to have a single channel, which could always remain at the same volume. I hope I could help you. Greetings from Chur

yes you can do it that way, one 6.3 cable is enough. But to my ears, I feel that the XLR connection is louder, clearer but lack of bass compare to the 6.3 connection

We're doing the same but to a Blackmagic ATEM Mini and we have the same volume challange to take care of. Greetings from St.Gallen
