Question about RØDE smartLav+ incl. SC3 adapter

Yes, that is correct. I need a Rode adapter for my laptop (HP Pavilion). The microphone can be plugged in, but the quality is "subterranean".

The adapter is normally only needed to connect the microphone to a dictation machine or camera. As far as I know, it is not needed for the PC.
