Can I also place a gaming notebook (~ 2kg, height 4cm) on it?
In addition to my MacBook, I also have an HP ZBook on it. It has pretty much the same dimensions. That's no problem.
The weight should not be a problem. My MacBook Pro weighs just over 2 kg. Here are the specifications for the mount: distance between the support surfaces 18.4 cm, support surfaces each 4 cm wide (the rubber area is a little less wide).
It depends on how the bottom of the laptop is shaped whether it holds or not. The weight seems to be less of a problem. I have uploaded a photo on my review that shows the mounts with a scale. I have a MacBook on it.
