Can anyone tell me if I can remove the shock mount (or the spider,ka. what it's called) and attach the Shure SM7B there?

I think not. In addition, the microphone is very heavy and the microphone arm can only withstand weights up to 900. My microphone weighs about 450 grams and it is also rather critical in terms of stability.
