Can anyone recommend this stick in use with Pioneer CDJ (mostly 2000 Nexus)? According to some reviews, this is supposed to be one of the better and, above all, fastest sticks. If so, in what format for 128 GB? Thank you!
I have tried other USB sticks in this price and specs range. But the Extreme Pro is much faster! I can't explain why this is the case, but my feeling is that it is at least 5 times faster than the others.
Both when writing from Rekordbox and when reading (I use .wav files) on the player (play mostly on 2000 Nexus), this stick is the non plus ultra for me!!! I usually recommend the stick to other DJs - I am completely convinced of it.
The stick should have the FAT32 format. As far as I know, Windows 10 is not able to format to FAT32 without external tools. But there are free portable programmes that can do this.
Same problem, is there already a solution?
Cool, thanks a lot! So it sounds relatively convincing! Do you also use the 128GB version?
I have my Rekordbox on Mac OS High Sierra and on the net I keep coming across the info that Pioneer supposedly doesn't officially support the functionality on media > 32GB in combination with FAT32. I recently had 4 crashes (or emergency loops) in one evening with a new Samsung Bar Plus USB stick (64GB)! Something like this must not happen again. But I still can't say whether it's actually the stick or the FAT32 x 64GB...
