It doesn't work for me on the S8 plus....have also read that it doesn't work on the S8 (by Samsung).

Cards up to 256 GB are recognised. I also had a 128 GB card in my S8+ that was recognised without any problems. If possible, I would choose a card from Samsung and not from a third-party manufacturer. There are no discussions with support ;-) If 2 SIM cards are used in the DUOS model, no SD card can be inserted, in which case this option is of course no longer available.

Works without problems
I used to have the Note 4 and an SD 128 GB memory card.
I used it to store pictures, music, PDF files and much more.
With the Note 8, an SD card also fits in the slot. However, it is no longer possible to use the dual sim.
