Question about Lenovo ThinkPad OneLink Pro Dock
Can a Lenovo X1 Carbon be connected to it? If so, does the notebook draw power from the docking station?
The Lenovo ThinkPad Carbon X1 is equipped with the Lenovo ThinkPad Onelink Pro Dock. You can find this out for yourself by removing the plastic part of the power connector, which has a two-part socket.
The power is supplied by the 90W power supply that comes with the dock. I have two Thinkpads myself, both with the dock, and I am very happy with them, especially because of the active graphics adapter.
YES, the X1 Carbon draws its power from the docking station, i.e. it is in mains operation when connected to the docking station via cable.
