Question about RTA Double DIN orifice 002.102S1-0
Good evening, I need some advice before ordering. Do I need a CAN bus adapter cable to connect to a Golf V 1K1? Is this cable supplied with the car radio? A Din mask doppel is supplied by Pioneer but does it go with the golf V 1K1 or do I have to buy it separately as doppel-din-blende-002102s1-0? Thanks for your feedback Benoît Ginier-Gillet

I first connected the car radio with the "standard" Din adapter, it worked but I noticed some malfunctions (backlight impossible to adjust and the car radio did not switch on/off automatically when turning on the ignition).
I found the exact part number for the CAN-Bus adapter on the website "https://www.rta-mobile.com". The adapter cannot be supplied with the car radio because it depends on the vehicle.

On my VW transporter I had to install the double Din front panel element which fits perfectly on the dashboard.

Hello. It's not easy to answer your questions. I'm not sure if it's a good idea to buy an ISO socket with a VW bus can for the car radio (to take data from the air-conditioning, parking signs, ODB...etc.) and also to avoid running your battery dry overnight. (I also had to buy a Doppel Din blende 002 adapter to switch from the rectangular Pioneer format to the more rounded VW format. I also bought an adapter to take the signal from the rear view camera. None of these accessories are included when buying a retrofit car radio.
