In my opinion a 1080, SLI is always such a thing regarding game optimisation. If the potential of SLI can be exploited by the game, it's a great thing, but often games are not optimally coded for multiple GPUs, which can lead to little extra performance or even worse performance than with one GPU. If you can still wait, I'd buy a 1080ti as soon as it's released. If Nvidia does it similar to the 900 series, the 1080ti will have about the performance of the Titan XP....
