Coil whine occurs when the installed coils begin to vibrate due to the currents flowing through them.
Depending on the frequency, this can be heard as a whirring, buzzing, buzzing or similar noise.
The volume ranges from a subliminal sound to a penetrating annoyance that is perceptible throughout the room.
Under load, this can then happen at a high frequency and you hear an unpleasant noise.
Coil whine is not harmful. It is rather a normal side effect of normal operation. Therefore, this is not a case of warranty.
You can only send the graphics card to Asus Service for inspection if the coil whine is extremely loud and if the dealer is fair-minded.
As 24 months have not yet passed since the date of purchase, we recommend that you complain about the ROG-STRIX-RTX4090-O24G-WHITE to your dealer.
They will then take care of the further processing for you.
