Question about RØDE VideoMic Me-L

if you have an iphone, buy the L version. For microphones, the closer the better. what do you need it for?

@einsteinMK - I would use it depending on the recording range. At which distance is the Video Mic Me still good for professional short interviews? (As fast alternative to wireless mics, when things need to move quickly.)

Thanks for responding. You are right, the L-version is compatible with my Smartphone. Ok, good advice. I was wondering at which distance the Video Mic Me (Allround) and Video Mic Me L are still in the optimal range. Also, I still don't understand the difference between the "Video Mic Me (Allround)" and "Video Mic Me L" - as they are BOTH compatible with smartphones.
