I bought the CPU a month ago. I did not face any USB issues (I'm using a keyboard, mouse, webcam, usb hub, an external sound card, and I used a USB stick to install the OS, and occasionally I transferred data to USB sticks).
In fact, my motherboard is AsRock X570 Taichi.

I'm using Linux, Ubuntu 20.04.

I've been using the 5950X for over a month now, and haven't noticed any problems with USB.

My USB devices include:
- Keyboard & mouse
- Webcam with Windows Hello support
- Screen with integrated USB hub
- Xbox One controller
- Charger for wireless headset
- 3 different chargers

I'm also using both internal USB 2 headers on my mainboard for some Corsair iCue RGB LED and fan control hubs.

Aside from the CPU, my PC also includes:
Mainboard: ASUS ROG X570 Crosshair VIII Dark Hero
SSD: Corsair MP400 8TB M.2 SSD
GPU: MSI RTX 3080 Gaming X Trio

Both mainboard and GPU support PCIe 4, but I haven't been able to verify if I'm actually using PCIe 4 or not.

Due to Corona, I've had to use my webcam for hours at a time, that's how I know I don't have any problems with USB.
Seems the issue mostly concerns people with VR/AR/MR headsets. I don't have either, which might explain why I'm not affected.

None on this chip or the 3950x that was in the motherboard before it. I have a Gen 4 m2 SSD but no Gen4 gpu (not for lack of trying.)
