Question about Seagate IronWolf

Are these Seagate disks any good? I work in IT and every single disk I've had failing on me were Seagate or Hitachi drives. I've alway been a fan of WD drives. I've got a WD Green which has been turned on around 2.9k times with around 7.5k hours uptime. I want to buy a NAS with seperate disks. Should I go with Seagate IronWolf drives or with WD Reds (Pro)? Thanks for your feedback.

In 25 years I only ever had one single hard disk fail in many PCs with Linux, Mac and Windows: a Seagate Barracuda. Now I bought 2 of these Seagate IronWolf disks to replace the 4TB WD Red disks in my Synology NAS. They made my NAS very slow and so loud that I couldn't stand it and removed them. They were about 5 times slower and 5 times louder than the WD Red ones. I will try to return them to Digitec. Never Seagate anymore for me.

Same experience as Egon: the Seagate IronWolf harddisks are now running for years in my Snology NAS 7x24h/365days without any problems.

Hi. I am using these Seagate IronWolf since my new Synology for 2 years now. Never had any Problem.
At my Synology I have one slot free at a 4 Slot NAS. Maybe in the near future I will buy a Seagate again to extend my Storage!
So, I would def. recommend these disks!
