Question about LG UltraGear 38GL950G-B
Are there any indications as to when the successor LG 38GN950 will be released? Or the business version LG 38WN95C?
Yes, around Q2/Q3.
But the "successor" is not a better model, but a bad one (for gamers at least). It only has 160 Hz (with overclock) and no G-Sync module. However, it is supposed to be G-Sync compatible.
Due to the DisplayPort limitation, you can't benefit extremely from the HDR600 either, since you can't play 10-bit HDR content at 160Hz (or 175Hz as with the 38GL950G-B). For me, I chose 8-bit colour and 175Hz. FPS for the win...
The only thing that should be positive about the 38GN950 is a slightly lower price, since no G-Sync module will be installed.
I read sth like Q2 (april-june) but no reliable info yet.. ^^
