Are there any complications with NVIDIA graphics cards on 144hz?

With an Nvidia card you have the usual 60Hz. I have this monitor and a GTX 780 and everything runs perfectly. You don't need an AMD card unless you want to use freesync, but it also works wonderfully without. I can't recommend any other panels myself.

If you own a powerful Nvidia card like the 980Ti, I would rather look at the G-Sync counterparts. The disadvantage is that none of them has an IPS or VA panel (Acer).

I don't know why, but whoever buys this monitor should already use an AMD GPU, after all FreeSync is one of the price-critical features of this monitor that can only be used with AMD GPUs.
