The usual household sockets have a maximum of 10A, rarely 16A. So the whole thing won't work.

In the commercial/industrial environment, where you are more likely to encounter such needs, there are already sockets that supply >16A. Sockets of the CEE type are usually used there. However, adapters are very rarely needed there. The devices or cables that require 20A, for example, also have the necessary plug on them.
