Are show room declared items products that are on display and then repackaged and sold??? I have always avoided show room items for this reason. Confusing.

No, products marked "Showroom" are only products that you can view in one of the digitec showrooms [1]. If you order the item (like this one), it will arrive in its original packaging from digitec's central warehouse in Wohlen.

Products from the showroom are often sold as "reconditioned" after they are no longer on display [2], but are then clearly labelled as such, e.g. [3].

SHOWROOM DEVICES from Digitec have indeed already been opened. I have received exactly such a device.... Maybe digitec should describe exactly how things really are!
