Apart from the Touch ID sensor, does the keyboard also work without restrictions with Intel Macs? I would like to buy a Magic Keyboard now, but I also want to be prepared for the future.

Yes, it works. But I don't know if it's worth paying more for it now. I'm happy with the keyboard, but not with the fact that I can't use Touch ID (if you can read, you're at a clear advantage, but I assumed what works integrated with the MacBook Air - fingerprint, should also work externally without a specific processor).

Should work, it's basically a normal Bluetooth keyboard.
