Question about IK Multimedia iRig 2
After watching various instructional videos, I happily ordered it and plugged it into the iPad. Instead of the guitar signal, the signal of the internal mic always comes onto the Garage Band recording track. As an Apple novice, I have not yet found any settings to change this. The iRig 2 manual is silent... Questions about questions

It is recognised directly in my case. When I plug it in, a red microphone symbol lights up briefly at the top right of the pad next to the WIFI symbol. Then there is a symbol in Garageband that looks like a jack plug. This also lights up red briefly and the level in Garage Band is adjusted. So it should just work like that. Maybe Dead on Arrival?
Surely with the internal mic, the iRig is not particularly loud.
