Nikon Nikkor Z 85mm f/1.8 S
Nikon Z, full size
According to the description, this lens has a Z bayonet. But it says that it has full-frame compatibility with it. I now have a Nikon Z50, with a Z bayonet but an APS-C sensor. Is this compatible or not? Can I use this or other lenses in the Z range, or only those marked DX/VR?
Is compatible. Otherwise the selection for DX would be a bit small. The cropfactor of 1.5 then simply applies, which should not be a disadvantage in this case.
Yes, it has the same adapter ring as the Nikon Z 50. Note, however, that this lens does not have In-Frame Stabilisation (VR) as this is already in the camera body on the Z 7 & Z 6. Use therefore only recommended with tripod or fast shutter speed. =)
