According to https://www.apple.com/iphone/LTE/, no Swiss provider is LTE certified for this model. Can I use it with a Swiss sim card? What are the restrictions?

The following providers are listed under Switzerland:

Salt
Sunrise
Swisscom
UPC
Wingo

Basically, however, it doesn't matter. The supported LTE frequencies are what counts and they are all used in Switzerland. This even works with the M-Budget card.

PS: According to the manufacturer's number MQAF2B/A, this is the UK version. It should therefore be the A1901 model on the page you mentioned. Enclosed is an interesting article: https://www.thenerdmag.com/difference...
