According to B&H reviews, this is a great gimbal with one problem: the thread seems to be cut too shallow (or starts too deep in the hole), which means the gimbal screws onto the tripod with less than one turn - justifiably raising doubts about stability. Especially when you mount and carry your <10'000 CHF Superteles on it, you want to be 100% sure that the thing holds properly. Does anyone have experience with this and can comment?

Answer

If that were the case, it would be a warranty case. Send it back and that's it. It's certainly not normal. It shouldn't be. The thread problem was probably an isolated case.
