900$ = 1300 CHF?? 44% price surcharge for Switzerland, thought we only have 7.7% VAT ;-)
You can find it online for 975 CHF, i guess digitec will realign their retail price in the upcoming weeks.
Nothing justifies a 300CHF price difference for the same product.
It's even cheaper to order it from the US ^^
Haha, I was also ready to pre-order, but not for this price... Then better buy in DE (999 EUR) without VAT and pay the 7.7% myself.

The price varies extremely and in the beginning the stupid enthusiasts are fleeced a bit. The price was already around 1000 Fr (Techmania). Amazon-de sells the lens for 999Eur minus DE VAT + CH VAT. That's about 1000Fr, if I haven't miscalculated. There's no question that you don't just throw away 250 Fr.
I think it's because the lens hasn't been officially launched. In fact, it's supposed to be available from 25th July
