I would also say that it is a very good smartphone in terms of features. I have read and looked at numerous reviews of the Xiaomi Mi Note 2. The most criticised features are the display and the camera.

The display is sharp enough with Full HD resolution, but the panel used is probably not very good, so it can't really keep up with the competition. However, everyone has to decide for themselves to what extent this is really noticeable or bothersome. It is also not a real curved display. It is slightly curved at the edges and you can see that, but the edges don't have any additional function like on other smartphones.

The camera has a high resolution, but the resulting photos are often criticised. Mostly they are probably too dark and "colourless". The Sony IMX318 sensor used has a pixel size of 1.0 μm and the aperture used is F2.0. Sometimes the photos are also praised, but I think in good lighting conditions you can take good pictures with many smartphones. Some tests on the internet also show original sample photos and you can see for yourself. The videos are also rated this way and that, but for normal use they are definitely usable in my opinion. 

They praise the (very) good battery life and the performance (which should be a given with the processor and 6GB of RAM). I can't tell you how it looks with updates, but generally Xiaomi is not too badly positioned, especially since there is also a large community.
