Question about Intel Core i9-12900K

The American price of 589 is without taxes. An AMD Ryzen 9 5950x with probably 10-15% slower gaming performance, "only" with DDR4 and PCIe 5 also costs CHF 817 here at Digitec. In my opinion, is the price justified? I'd also rather have it for 500 CHF or even preferably for free. But the price is right. Unfortunately, the mainboards will probably be "a little" expensive (10-50% more expensive than the AMD mainboard counterpart).
