2 questions: Can I use the headphones while they are charging/connected to the USB C? It doesn't work with the Sony and 35ii, but it does with the Surface Headphones. does it make a difference if the NC is on/off when listening to music? so far I haven't noticed any with my 35ii. it's also quite loud to hear from outside when I listen to music (does that have anything to do with whether I have NC on or off?). many thanks
Bluetooth switches off when the device is charging (or when a cable is hanging in the headphones). Not tested whether you can still listen to music via the jack.
I would generally not do this: I had noise interference with other headphones.
However, you can listen to music for about 20 hours at a stretch.
Noise cancelling reduces the ambient noise so much that you can fully enjoy the music. It has no influence on the music quality (at least none that I noticed). The NC on the 700 is pretty cool: it can be set in 10 levels and you can set assignments via the APP (e.g. NC off, 5, and 10).
The handling with the APP is awkward and a nuisance. Once configured, it works.
