OFC - 99.9% pure copper, free from oxygen (Oxygen Free Copper)
A pure copper cable - Made in Germany. The significant advantages of pure OFC copper cables are their outstanding electrical conductivity and low resistance. Often, speaker cables are marketed as "pure" copper cables, even though they only have a thin copper coating. This mainly applies to cables labeled as "CCA copper" (aluminum core with thin copper coating) or "CCS copper" (steel cable with thin copper coating). These cables have far worse transmission properties than OFC copper cables.
Various cable cross-sections depending on requirements. In general, the longer the speaker cable, the greater the power loss, which is only noticeable in the loudness of the signal at the speaker end. Since power loss can be counteracted by increasing the cable cross-section, it is sensible to use cables with different cross-sections depending on the cable length (e.g., larger cross-section for the rear speakers in a surround installation).
At a length of 10m, the power losses are approximately:
