Both advocates of air cooling and water cooling enthusiasts will get their money's worth with this case: the Montech XR offers options for installing a total of nine fans. Instead of on the front, two powerful 120 mm fans are pre-installed on the side. Three 120 mm fans can be installed on the lower power supply cover. A 120 mm fan is also pre-installed at the rear. All three of the Montech fans can be controlled via PWM signal and have ARGB lighting. Three 120 mm or two 140 mm fans can be retrofitted in the lid. The height of the CPU cooler is limited to a maximum of 175 mm.
Montech has also made provisions for fans of AiOs or custom water cooling systems. Up to 240 mm radiators can be mounted on the side. There is space on the lid for a radiator up to 360 mm in size. Thanks to the generous mesh surfaces, plenty of air can get in and out of the housing. To ensure the long-term effectiveness of your cooling and simplify the cleaning of your fans, additional dust filters are attached to the side and base. You can easily remove, clean and replace them.
The interior offers an exceptional amount of space for powerful hardware, for example for ATX mainboards and high-performance gaming graphics cards up to 420 mm in length. The graphics card can also be installed vertically using the optional PCI bracket from Montech. Two 2.5-inch SSDs can be attached to the rear of the mainboard tray in the corresponding brackets.
