All parts are made from high-quality, eco-friendly plywood and are precisely pre-cut using laser technology. No glue or additional tools are required to assemble your globe. The basic module of the model consists of two parts: the globe and the base with the mechanism. The globe sits on an axis that is tilted at the same angle as the Earth's axis. Like most Ugears models, the globe is powered by a rubber band motor. However, in this case, a different method is used to wind the motor. By turning the lever on the base clockwise once, the mechanism is fully wound. Once you release the lever, the gears start to work. To slow down the rotation of the globe, it features a pendulum mechanism. If you wish, you can also turn the globe by hand to take a closer look at the passing continents at a very slow pace.
