Ugears

All parts are made from high-quality, eco-friendly plywood and are precisely pre-cut using laser technology. No glue or additional tools are required to assemble your globe. The basic module of the model consists of two parts: the globe and the base with the mechanism. The globe sits on an axis that is tilted at the same angle as the Earth's axis. Like most Ugears models, the globe is powered by a rubber band motor. However, in this case, a different method is used to wind the motor. By turning the lever on the base clockwise once, the mechanism is fully wound. Once you release the lever, the gears start to work. To slow down the rotation of the globe, it features a pendulum mechanism. If you wish, you can also turn the globe by hand to take a closer look at the passing continents at a very slow pace.

In addition to the basic module, the model includes two interchangeable additional modules: Shuttle and Sputnik. Decide which satellite should orbit your globe today and place it on its mount. The satellites are also powered by the rubber band motor and are connected to the base module via a planetary gear system. This connection ensures that the satellites rotate almost twice as fast as the globe, allowing them to complete nearly two orbits with a single pull of the lever.

The model is easy to assemble, and it is exciting to watch its movement. The unique mechanism and iconic design are the typical features that make Ugears models an original gift and the ideal decoration for your home or office. The Ugears globe is a model you will want to return to time and again. Take your globe off the shelf and dream of all the wonderful places around the world that you wish to visit.
