All parts are made of high-quality, environmentally friendly plywood and are precisely pre-cut with laser cutting. No glue or additional tools are needed to assemble your globe. The basic module of the model consists of two parts: the globe and the base with the mechanism. The globe sits on an axis whose inclination has the same angle as the Earth's axis. Like most Ugears models, the globe is driven by a rubber motor. However, in this case, a different method of winding the motor is used. By turning the lever at the base fully clockwise once, the mechanism is fully wound. As soon as you release the lever, the gears begin to work. To slow down the rotation of the globe, it has a pendulum mechanism. If you prefer, you can also rotate the globe by hand and, while moving very slowly, take a closer look at the continents passing by.

In addition to the basic module, the model includes two interchangeable extra modules: Shuttle and Sputnik. Decide which satellite should orbit around your globe today and place it on its mount. The satellites are also driven by the rubber motor and are connected to the base module via a planetary gear. This connection ensures that the satellites rotate almost twice as fast as the globe, allowing them to make nearly two orbits with one actuation of the lever.
